Background Info:
In 2008, award winning Russian journalist Arkady Mamontov filmed a propaganda video chastising the American military presence in Kyrgyzstan. He made several allegations, including:
- A large structure located at the Manas airbase serves as a top secret listening post with the purpose of intercepting transmissions from nearby Russia and China.
- Hundreds of NGOs work in concert with the US military to gain "soft power" with the intent of controlling and/or overthrowing the Kyrgyz government in a color branded revolution.
- American soldiers party at clubs (and brothels) in downtown Bishkek on weekends, sullying the honor of local women. See the youtube video below.
